Charles E. Roberts conceived and built this marina so the working people could enjoy the lake he loved.
The marina was built by Charles E. Roberts, retired NH farmer, in the 1960’s. It was his second career as owner and operator. The business was incorporated in the 1960’s as a family business and is now seeing Charlie’s great grandchildren running the pumps. Little has changed since the 70s, although we have updated the pumps and gasoline delivery system and added a soda machine. We continue to follow the vision of Charles Roberts to create a casual, friendly, family atmosphere.
Roberts Cove Basin is a family owned operation for the purpose of renting boat slips, selling boat gas and providing a launch ramp.
There are approximately 80 boat docks and many people stay over on their boats during the season. Since there is little turnover in seasonal dock rental, the people get to know each other and have spaghetti feeds, chowder feasts, and other happenings during the summer. Every Fourth of July Irving Roberts brings his own Parade down Roberts Cove Road for all to enjoy.
As a family owned operation we take turns tending the docks and gas pump, so you may be greeted by any one of Charlie Roberts’ children, grandchildren, or great-grand-children!
